Her dream was to work with children. She loved their energy and the how they saw the world. She was honored to be a vessel to help shape young minds that life is good. They have the opportunity to become who God says that they are.
She was employed as a substitute teacher at Homestead Senior High and as a clerical postal worker. MDX tolls plaza.
Elise, as we lovingly called Zona, accepted Jesus as Savior and is resting in His arms. Elise attended Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church with her mother, the late Dr. Rev. Loretha Mathis. Elise's home church was Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and later St. John's Missionary Baptist Church.
