TANYA JONES

Tanya Yvette Jones, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was born on April 11, 1967, in Miami, Florida. She departed this life on November 18, 2025, at the age of 58, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering generosity.

Tanya was the cherished daughter of Willie Jones and Rhuenell Dowdell. She grew up surrounded by family and carried those deep-rooted bonds with her throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted children: Tiffany Jones, Alfred Jones, Toneric Collins-Jones, Apryll Burns, Abryll Burns, Ambernique Burns, Traci Burns, Dykearah Jones, Lee’Quiyah Jones, Lastone Alston, and Azariah Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings: Tamara Dowdell, Sarah Dowdell, William Dowdell, and Kimora Elam. She is preceded in death by her loving Siblings Stacy Purtty, Gwendolyn Seymore and Ebony Dowdell.

Gifted with skilled hands and a natural creative spirit, Tanya worked for many years as a beautician before retiring. She not only styled hair—she uplifted spirits, boosted confidence, and made countless people feel seen and cared for. Her work was an extension of her heart.

Tanya was also known for her remarkable ability to cook. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, laughter, and unforgettable meals. Whether she was preparing a family favorite or trying something new, she poured love into every dish. Her food brought people together, and her cooking became a cherished part of family gatherings and celebrations.

Above all else, Tanya found her greatest joy in being a mother. Her children were her world, and she embraced motherhood with strength, devotion, and endless love. She was also known for helping others with their children, offering support wherever she saw a need. Her home and her heart were always open.

Tanya was a devoted believer in Christ. Her faith guided her through life’s challenges and shaped the kindness, resilience, and humility she shared with everyone around her.

Tanya faced life with humor and resilience. She brought laughter into every room, and her ability to brighten someone’s day—often with just a joke or a smile—was one of her most treasured gifts. Those who knew her will forever remember her playful spirit, her warmth, and the way she made people feel special.

Though Tanya is no longer with us in body, her love continues to live on in the many lives she touched. Her memory will be cherished always by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
