Robert Clyde April - I was known to many as “Ape” or “Can Man.” I was born on March 28, 1938, in Yazoo City, Mississippi to the late Beatrice Moore; and helped raised by the late John A. Moore, Sr. My younger sister who preceded me in death, Johnnie B. Evans and Quenella Grayson. My younger brother who proceeded me in death, Tommy James Grayson. I leave behind my baby brother, John A. Moore, Jr. I was raised in Swiftown, Mississippi and earned an education in Mississippi Public Schools. On August 28, 1960, I married my childhood sweetheart, Mrs. Jimmie Lee April who preceded me in death. From this Union we were richly Blessed with the births of ten children; Shirley of Alabama, Gloria, Patricia who preceded me in death (Alonzo), Patrick who preceded me in death (Lisa), Beverly, Anthon (Lisa) of Alaska, Jerome (Billie), Michelle (Kenneth), Tangeria (Leroy) and Abdul (Gloria); additional daughters: Shantae of Tennessee, I Della, Annie (Reece), Maryann, Talaya, Nikeycia Levy and Jasmine April. I also leave a legacy of Loving Memories to be cherished by my 34 grandchildren; 30 greatgrand grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who I loved dearly
