MANNIE PARRISH Obituary

Minnie Pear Parrish was born on April 25th, 1955, to the late Aaron Parrish and Minnie Lee Parrish,

both of whom preceded her in death. She attended Arthur Mays High School and

South Dade High School. Throughout her life, Minnie worked in various

industries, including hospitality and healthcare, where she found her true

calling in helping others.

In 2005, Minnie relocated to Dover, Delaware where she resided for over 15

years. During this time, she met her longtime partner, Tommy Vincent Jones.

Later Minnie moved back to Miami to serve as her mother’s caregiver until her

passing.

Minnie Pearl loved spending quality time with friends and, most importantly,

with her grandchildren. After the loss of her mother, she moved to Tifton,

Georgia, where she found renewed faith in Christ and joined Springfield

Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Eric Wendel Lee Sr. She

remained a dedicated and faithful member of the church.

On the night of June 4th, 2025 @ 11:55 p.m. God whispered well done my child

and she transitioned from this life peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Brian Jennings Sr. (Colette); her

daughter Sharon Jones; her sister, Gwendolyn Parrish; her brothers, Jerey

Parrish, Alonza Parrish, and Gary Butler; and her late brother Frederick

Parrish. She was also a proud grandmother to Brian Jennings Jr., James Otis

Jennings, Nakeva Jennings, and Quateria Jennings preceded her in death. Her

six great-grandchildren; Kennedy Jennings, London Jennings, James Otis

Jennings Jr., Cameron Jennings, Maddison Jennings and Jha’zi Jennings,

Minnie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends

who loved her dearly.
