Grady Myers, affectionately known as “Jr,” was born on August 21, 1962, in Miami, Florida. He was the cherished son of the late Grady Myers Sr. and Mae Ella Myers Felder. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Barbara Warren, Diane Hampton, Delores Smith, and Michael Myers.
Raised in the heart of Miami, Grady was a proud graduate of Palmetto High School in the Miami-Dade Public School system. After high school, he moved to Baltimore, Maryland, where his eldest daughter was born. Eventually, he returned home to Miami, where he built a beautiful life and family with his beloved wife, Letoshian Bivens Myers.
Grady was a man who found joy in the simple thing like casting a line while fishing, slamming dominoes on the table while making jokes, and spending time surrounded by the laughter and love of his family. Family meant everything to him, especially his grandchildren, who lit up his world. His love was wide, his laugh was loud, and his presence unforgettable. If you knew Grady, you felt his love and if he loved you, you knew it without question.
On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ called Grady home to rest in His eternal care.
Grady leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty. He is survived by his devoted wife, Letoshian Bivens Myers; his daughters: Melody Myers, Sheantia Greer, Tarishea Bivens, Larishea Bivens, and Monique (Robert) Carvajal; his siblings: Patricia (Curtis) Moore, Carolyn (James) Young, Francis Myers, Juanita Myers, Terry Poke, Karen Jones, Frank Myers, and Craig Jones; and his treasured grandchildren: Ta’Myah, Isabelle, Giselle, Dahlia, Aden, Delilah, Deanna, Robert, and Dylan.
He is also remembered with love by his dear friend of over 30 years, Charles Mickens, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
Grady's life was a reflection of love in action, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
