On March 1, 2022, De’Shaun Marques Waller was called home to be with the Lord. His infectious smile and laughter lit up our souls. We will deeply miss our precious Angel. He was loved by many and shed light on whomever crossed his path. After he graduated from West Broward High School in June 2017, he majored in Accounting at Broward College, where he earned his Associates of Arts Degree. He went on to further his education at University Central of Florida to major in Business and Marketing. He enjoyed playing basketball, Anime, watching K-dramas, listening to music and working on his car. If there was one thing De’Shaun was, he was determined. No matter what the challenge or request was, he gave his all to ensure he exceeded all expectations whether for himself or others. In the 8th grade he scored the highest in the county on the West Test, he was a three-year letterman in football, a member of the National Honor Society and studied a dual language of Japanese. He was so fluent, he would list it as an additional language on his resume. Among many other accomplishments he started his first business in High School targeting a Social Media Marketing called “Interbook”. This specific achievement led him to become a social media influencer in Anime as well as the Car Club Community, in which he had hundreds and thousands of followers on platforms such as Twitter and Instagram.
De’Shaun had a passion for cars which began in High School. He attended hundreds of car meets over the years. His favorite car was his very first one, a 350 V Nissan Coupe. He always said that he would get another one just like it. He would alter his car and spent hours working on it. He was a self-taught mechanic whose favorite transformation was to lower the body of his vehicle. He was always buying or selling rims, ordering body kits and recently installed a turbo engine in his Mazda Miata. We often joked that his car was too low. It would often get stuck while he was driving over speed bumps. De’Shaun had to drive his car at an angle so he wouldn’t scratch up the rims. He loved the visual appeal, stretched tires and the speed….the more extreme the better! The frequent changes he made to his vehicle was not only admired by family and friends but by other social media viewers as well.
De’Shaun was also an avid collector of Naruto and other Anime characters. While in Orlando he developed a new hobby called thrifting. He and friends would frequent different shops and he soon turned his attention to a different type of fashion called Techwear, a style of clothing that takes utility gear to futuristic levels.
Another one of his pastimes were watching K-dramas. Some of his favorites include “Something in the Rain” and the most recent, “Itaewon Class” He felt connected to this specific movie because it related to his mindset. He was very spiritual and believed that each of us were a higher being that chose to be here. He always said that we controlled our own destiny and he lived his life unapologetically without any regrets. De’Shaun was one of a kind. He was a genuine person and good to everyone. He had one of the most beautiful souls and leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends. He touched the lives of so many people. He will never be forgotten but forever remembered and deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is survived by his mother Taneisha Adams (Walter Olden), Father Duane Waller, sister Nataliah Olden, Brother Walter Olden II and Baron Olden, grandparents Delia Waller, Barbara Branham grandfather Lionel (Sylvia) Waller of West Virginia; Aunt, Detria Waller; Uncle, Michael Waller; Cousins; Mekhi Wright, Keith Johnson, La’Mir Martin of West Virginia, and a host of other relatives and friends.
