ANNIE WILLARD Obituary

Born April 24, 1955 in Woodbury, Georgia. The last child of nine siblings born to Effie and Tommy Mitchell. Both parents preceded her in death, along with five siblings.

Annie married the man she loved Ezekiel Willard Sr. in 1973, and they lived a quiet and loving life together in Miami, Florida, where they raised their five children. Annie’s husband, Ezekiel Sr. and one son Ezekiel Jr., both preceded her in death.

Annie was employed by Kmart Stores for over 30+ years before retiring. During her tenure she attracted life-long-loving-loyal friends. Many of her coworkers call her more than a friend, they call her sister. Her employment was definitely her ministry. Not only did she serve as an exemplary employee, but she took advantage of every opportunity to bring GLORY to GOD. It was her compassion, conversation, easy-to-be-entreated, generosity, humility, kind-hearted, peaceful, soft-spoken, and her contagious smile that were the living testimony of GOD living in her life. She was quiet but a firm servant of GOD.

Annie always loved GOD, and served in church for many years. She spent some time as a member of CHURCH OF CHRIST WRITTEN IN HEAVEN, Goulds, Fl. as well as PENTECOST POWER, Homestead, Florida, before spending her last 13 years as a loyally, devoted, faithful member of ALL 4HIS GLORY MINISTRIES, with Pastor Dr. Annette Williamson. Annie was overwhelming loved by her church family. She is well known for her warm welcome and her sincere smile as she greeted everyone upon their entrance.

Annie was faithful until the LORD called her from labor to reward.

Along with all who knew and loved Annie, she leaves her memories to be cherished forever by:

3 Daughters: Shanequa Wright (Nick) of Savannah, Georgia, Natasha and Shandreka Willard of Miami, Fl.; son: Timothy (Tamica) of Richmond, Virginia; 2 grandchildren: Brianna and Selena; 2 brothers: Pastor Dennis Mitchell (Minnie) of Decatur, Georgia; McArthur Mitchell (late Nellie) of Gay, Georgia; 1 sister Mary Jean Mitchell of Lutherville, Georgia; and host of other relatives and special friends.
