Our dearly beloved Alamalik Parnell was born July 22, 1980, to Woodley Sumpter and the late Joanne Parnell. Alamalik spent his foundational years in the West Perrine, Florida community and attended Miami Southridge Senior High School (Class of 1998). Alamalik spent his foundational years of life throughout the South-Dade community, where he created lasting impressions and relationships with everyone he encountered.
Alamalik became a well-trained, high demand and hardworking butcher at the age of twenty following in the footsteps of his father Woodley Sumpter and older brother Woody Sumpter. Throughout Alamalik’s twenty-five-year career he trained and diligently worked at Neighbors Food Market, M&M’s Meat Market, Diaz Supermarket, Bravo Supermarket and concluded at BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. Alamalik’s work ethic and charismatic personality brightened every room he entered and illuminated every life he encountered.
Alamalik loved and dedicated his life to ensuring his two daughters Alamiece and Khaniece were well cared for and appreciated. Alamalik leaves his father, Woodley, siblings Woody, Shuntae, Coveannda and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends with a powerful impression of sacrifice, dedication, love, joy and loud laughter.
